Women4Cyber Spain and Tetuan Valley launch the I Edition of "W4C Startup School".
Women4Cyber Startup School is a training and mentoring program designed to support startups and projects with solutions in the field of cybersecurity and that have women in the founding team. The call for applications is now is open and will close on April 30, which is the deadline for applications. The program is completely free for participating teams.
The agreement is an opportunity to make visible the work of projects and startups with women in the founding team and solutions in the cybersecurity environment.
The Association Women4Cyber Spain is the Spanish chapter of Women4Cyber.eu, founded by the European Cybersecurity Organization (ECSO) and the first European-backed association of women in cybersecurity in Spain. Tetuan ValleyWomen4Cyber.eu, has been supporting entrepreneurs in their initial stages since 2009 with training and community. With this agreement they join forces and propose a complete training, mentoring and membership program for selected startups with cybersecurity projects.
This initiative responds to a key moment for cybersecurity at a global level and to the demands for greater visibility for the role that women play in a sector in which they are underrepresented. Through this program, teams will be able to develop their business idea, learning about the main aspects that will allow them to present the final project at Demo Day.
The Women4Cyber Startup School will provide training and mentoring by industry experts to the selected startups.
Experts from the world of entrepreneurship and cybersecurity will join together to accompany these startups in sessions ranging from product validation to investment, including work methodologies and marketing. In the Hackathon the teams will have to develop a prototype of their product in order to present it together with the pitch deck at the final Demo Day.
The initiative is supported by Google for StartupsGoogle, as a partner of Tetuan Valley, which thus reinforces its commitment to startups in the cybersecurity sector by offering a Hot Desking space so that the entrepreneurs of the selected companies can work from the Madrid Campus.
The objective of Women4Cyber and Tetuan Valley is to be a real support for startups in the field of cybersecurity, betting on founding teams formed by women. The call for the Startup School closes on April 30 and the final projects will be presented in June.
