The 2nd Edition of Startup School with INCIBE begins

Welcome to the II Edition of Startup School, an incubation program that we organize in collaboration with INCIBE - National Institute for Cybersecurity! In this new call, 15 startups have been selected to participate in this initiative designed to strengthen the creation of cybersecure startups from moment 0 in Spain.

This program is part of the funds of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed and supported by the European Union (Next Generation).The program, financed and supported by the European Union (Next Generation), is part of the Spanish government's strategy to modernize the economy, boost innovation and promote entrepreneurship in key sectors, such as cybersecurity.

This is how the Kickoff went

To kick off this new edition, we held the Kickoff, an event in which attendees were able to learn in detail about the program and its foundations. After this introduction, the 15 selected startups made a brief presentation of their projects, breaking the ice and creating a collaborative environment from the first day.

In addition, we had the participation of two founders who were part of the first edition and shared their experience. Diego Verhammewho entered the first edition with a mental health startup called Emotions, talked about his pivot process until he became Diveinside. On the other hand, Guillermo Vigil Rodríguez recounted his journey from this program to Scale Up School with INCIBE, your acceleration program focused on startups with more traction, highlighting how his project evolved in just one year.

Their stories served as inspiration for the new participants, showing the real impact of the program on the growth of their projects!

A new step in innovation and entrepreneurship

Startup School II Kickoff Kickoff Event with INCIBE

The objective of this incubation program is to support the creation and consolidation of innovative startups through training, mentoring and networking with key players in the ecosystem. The selected startups will receive the necessary tools and knowledge to take the leap to the market and scale their solutions with a solid and cybersecure foundation.

The Kickoff event was the starting point for the 15 entrepreneurial teams that, over the next 3 months, will work on the development and validation of their business models with the support of industry experts and our community.

Meet the 15 selected startups:

For this call we received more than 50 applications and we found most of the projects very interesting and with a lot of potential. However, we only had to select 15 of them and the process was quite difficult. Even so, we are very happy with the final selection and therefore, we invite you to learn more about the startups participating in the program:

  1. Ada Management: Platform that quickly connects companies with the best talent in BigData & AI, ensures their success and manages their administration so they can focus on impact.

  2. Atapia: AI virtual emotional counselor based on cognitive behavioral therapy to support teachers and students with the mental health challenges they face in the classroom.

  3. Com,ma: Offers instant, quality prepared food through intelligent vending machines in high-traffic corporate spaces.

  4. DCSS (DatoCuriosso): By mixing theoretical knowledge and programming we find inefficiencies in the market to make value investing simpler and more accessible to retail investors.

  5. Digipal: Universal App for digital tickets. Receive your ticket with a simple tap, no matter where you make the purchase, without giving your personal data and regardless of the payment method.

  6. Gasify: Offers renewable energy consulting services. Its app allows to perform feasibility studies of biogas plants in rural environments and to calculate the methanogenic potential of agricultural and livestock waste, easily and quickly.

  7. Guardian: Helps seniors with mobility issues walk safely and confidently by incorporating advanced fall detection technology into the walkers.

  8. HolaChatbot: Chatbots and Agents with Artificial Intelligence for the improvement of business communication and user experience. 

  9. Intellio: AI-powered platform with self-awareness tools (such as personality test), customized methodologies to empower you, and to develop soft skills. 

  10. Lailo: App that helps people quit smoking through a hypnotherapy-based program, anti-craving tools and a community of ex-smokers. 

  11. Limitless Education: They facilitate the learning of science by making the contents visible in 3D and supporting them with a virtual tutor who answers all the students' doubts.

  12. LockSphere: It is based on providing a cybersecurity advisory and consulting service for SMEs. They are also developing a cyber intelligence SaaS product to monitor their clients' sensitive data (cyber surveillance in the deep web).

  13. Mast: B2B2C software that optimizes the search for and management of collaborative projects at all stages, facilitates resource acquisition and fosters key strategic alliances, providing detailed analysis to assess environmental impact and raise brand awareness.

  14. Mino Solution: Offers Compliance as a Service (CaaS), helping SMEs align with security standards such as ISO27001, DORA and GDPR through AI. Its platform automates preparation for audits and certifications, reducing costs and simplifying compliance.

  15. Softcheck: SaaS Software Approval using cybersecurity criteria and removal of unapproved software on the computers of a company's workers. 

We would like to congratulate all the selected startups and thank them for their commitment to the program. We hope that this II Edition will be a success and that it will contribute significantly to the growth of these projects.
