ScaleUp School II T-shirts

The second edition of ScaleUp School not only marked the end of an acceleration program. It also coincided with a symbolic and deeply special moment for our community: the last Demo Day we held in the auditorium of Google for Startups Campus Madrid, the place that has been our home for the last ten years.

Following the success of the first edition, ScaleUp School is back in partnership with INCIBE, within the framework of INCIBEemprende and the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, has been an honor and a tremendous learning experience. This second edition, more mature and more intense, allowed us to accompany startups with real traction, more complex challenges, and a clear vision for growth.

A program designed for startups that are already scaling up

For approximately three months, participating startups received practical training, personalized mentoring, legal and tax advice, and direct access to experts and investors in the ecosystem. The goal was clear: to help them consolidate their strategy and strengthen their value proposition.

Ten startups participated in this edition, and the level was so high that both the jury and the attendees agreed on the extremely high standard of the final pitches.

These were the participants in the second edition of ScaleUp School:

  • Eventium (formerly Ciberin Foresight): A multi-domain contextual intelligence platform that enables companies to anticipate threats and detect strategic opportunities in complex and changing environments. It has been renamed Eventium after the program.

  • Cobox Logistics: Collaborative logistics platform that centralizes and automates commercial distribution operations, connecting e-commerce and companies with a network of logistics services in a single hub for rapid and controlled scaling.

  • Oncology Exercise: A solution that helps women with breast cancer improve their health and quality of life through physical exercise.

  • Kumubox: A subscription-based educational platform offering practical and realistic training for teachers, downloadable teaching resources, and proprietary software to reduce bureaucratic burdens.

  • Limitless Education: A virtual laboratory that helps children learn science through augmented reality and artificial intelligence, encouraging research rather than rote learning.

  • Mentiness: A technological solution designed by psychologists to humanize organizations through predictive analytics and humanized AI, detecting risks of turnover and burnout.

  • Mottum Analytica: Public tender co-pilot, Mottum.Licitaciones, which helps companies submit more high-quality tenders using AI.

  • Neety: SaaS platform for independent sales agents that automates B2B prospecting for European SMEs, using generative AI to free up to 70% of salespeople's time.

  • Clapping: A platform that connects musicians, bands, and DJs with venues and promoters, facilitating performance opportunities and professionalizing the management of concerts and events.

  • Teal.ai: A platform that directly connects filtered candidates to companies' ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems). It uses intelligent agents to perform sourcing and filtering outside the ATS, focusing on highly specialized and hard-to-find profiles.

A Demo Day with an agenda to match

The event began with an institutional welcome by Nazareth Rodrigáñez, Head of Programs at Tetuan Valley, who reviewed the purpose of the program and the journey so far. Next, Javier Rodríguez Martínez from INCIBE, shared how they are promoting entrepreneurship through INCIBEemprende and how programs such as ScaleUp School fit into a national strategy to strengthen the cybersecurity industry.

Afterwards, Joaquín Wu Lin, our ScaleUp School Program Manager, took the stage to talk about the methodological approach, key learnings, and the evolution of startups during the program.

And then came the most eagerly awaited moment: the final pitches. In this edition, the standard was exceptional. Not only was the work done during the program evident, but also the conviction of each team and the tangible growth of their solutions.

The three winning projects were:

🥉 3rd place: Neety
🥈 2nd place: Kumubox
🥇 Winner of the 2nd Edition of ScaleUp School: Limitless Education

A top-level jury

To evaluate the pitches, we have a jury of leading figures from the ecosystem, whom we greatly appreciate for their time and judgment:

We would like to thank you for your participation, both in the program and on such a special day as Demo Day.

The most entertaining talk of the day and a closing ceremony that will go down in our history

Carlos Hernández Martín and Ivo Vilches

Talk by Carlos Hernández Martín and Ivo Vilches

While the jury deliberated, the auditorium was filled with laughter, literally.

Carlos Hernández Martín and Ivo Vilches shared an intimate and, above all, human conversation: a journey through their entrepreneurial careers told through a collection of personal photos. It was spontaneous, very entertaining, and tremendously honest. A reminder that entrepreneurship is as hard as it is inspiring, and that the best stories almost always begin with a blurry photo.

After the talk, we showed a short video with photos covering Tetuan Valley's 10 years at Google for Startups Campus Madrid. It was an emotional, special moment that will be hard to forget. Because this Demo Day didn't just mark the end of a program. It was also the last time our community filled this auditorium.

We bid him farewell as he deserved: with energy, community, and the Tetuan Valley spirit that has accompanied us for more than a decade.

A program that ends, an impact that continues

This was the second and final edition of ScaleUp School together with INCIBE. Two editions that marked a turning point in the way we support startups in the scaling phase. We leave with pride in having supported projects with real traction and with the satisfaction of seeing how they grow, evolve, and continue to generate impact in the market.

Thank you to INCIBE for your trust. Thank you to mentors and trainers for your dedication. And above all, thank you to the startups: you are the reason we do all this.

The program ends here. But your journey has only just begun. And Tetuan Valley is still there, accompanying every step of the way.
