Startup School 26 Kickoff: The incubation program for early-stage startups

This week we officially launched Startup School 26, our entrepreneurship and startup incubation program, with a kickoff event marking the start of a new edition brimming with talent and ambition.

This is now the third edition of the program in collaboration with INCIBE, a collaboration that reinforces our commitment to promoting technological entrepreneurship and, in particular, the development of innovative cybersecurity solutions.

And if one thing is clear after this first meeting, it's that we've started the year on a high note!

An incubation program with record numbers

Startup School 26 has been a particularly competitive edition. In this call for applications:

📥 We received over 180 applications, the highest volume in the last two years;

🔐 Seven of these projects focus on cybersecurity and have high growth potential.

🚀 9 out of 20 projects have women on their founding team;

As in every edition, the selection process has been demanding. But this time it has been even more so due to the level and quality of the projects submitted. Selecting just 20 startups from among such talent was not easy, although we are very satisfied with the final selection.

The result is a group of projects that perfectly reflects the spirit of our startup incubation program: real solutions, committed teams, and a clear ambition to scale.

The Kickoff: the starting point of the entrepreneurship program

The Startup School 26 Kickoff was held at the Digitaliza Madrid, and was the first event of the year for the Tetuan Valley community.

During the day:

  • We present the teams with the basics of the incubation program, its methodology, and objectives.

  • We explain how we will work over the coming weeks: support, training, and mentoring.

  • We held a Q&A session with Jorge Garcia Montaño, founder and CEO of Limitless Education, with the winning project from the previous edition, a friendly space for new participants to learn firsthand about his experience in the program, ask questions, and start building a community from the very beginning.

  • And as always, we closed with a networking session, where the first conversations and connections between startups began.

Beyond the content, the Kickoff served to lay the foundations for something key at Startup School: the entrepreneurial community as a fundamental part of the entrepreneurial journey.
