Google for Startups Campus Madrid: 10 years that shaped our journey
There are moments in the life of an organization that mark a turning point. This is one of them.
After ten years of growing, learning, and building community at Google for Startups Campus Madrid, the time has come to say goodbye to the space that has been our home since 2015. We arrived here with excitement in the same year that Campus opened its doors, and here we have accompanied thousands of people who dreamed of becoming entrepreneurs.
It's not easy to close a chapter like this. But it is very easy to feel gratitude.
Our arrival in 2015: How it all began
Photo from our early years on campus
When we first entered this building, Campus was a promise: a space designed for innovation to happen. For Tetuan Valley, which has been promoting entrepreneurial talent since 2009, it meant something more: a home from which we could multiply our impact, professionalize our methodologies, and accompany an increasingly diverse and larger community.
We remember that feeling of "this could change everything," when we still didn't know how far-reaching it would be. In 2015, we started almost from scratch within Campus: a handful of shared tables, whiteboards full of ideas, and the certainty that this place would allow us to build something special. And so it was. The first events, the first Startup Schools, the first impromptu meetings in the cafeteria... quickly became rituals that shaped the way we work and understand entrepreneurship.
Campus not only gave us a physical space, but also an environment where creativity was contagious, where teams could meet, talk, and connect naturally. It was there that we met many of the people who would end up being a fundamental part of our community: mentors who continue to collaborate today, entrepreneurs who went from having an idea to leading a project, partners who joined our mission...
That first office, those first coffees, the nights spent preparing sessions or reviewing pitches... all of that marked the beginning of a decade full of encounters, learning experiences, collaborations, and people who are now part of our history. A starting point that changed the course of Tetuan Valley forever.
A decade of shared impact
Looking back means remembering numbers, yes, but above all remembering people. Even so, some figures help us understand the magnitude of what has happened within these walls.
Google for Startups in Spain has supported 704 startups through its programs and the Campus community. These startups now employ 8,697 people and have raised more than $2.6 billion in funding. This impact transcends the building and those who inhabit it: it has always been a real boost for the Spanish entrepreneurial ecosystem.
For our part, Tetuan Valley has supported more than 400 startups over the last 15 years, trained more than 900 entrepreneurs, and built a community of 1,500 members, including mentors, experts, entrepreneurs, and investors. Every program, every batch, every session, every Demo Day... has been a reminder that innovation happens when people with purpose and motivation come together.
What we have learned over the past 10 years
Google for Startups Campus Madrid was our ongoing experiment: a living laboratory where every program, every class, every conversation, and every mistake taught us something new. Over the past decade , we discovered that methodologies work, but it is community that transforms. Manuals help, but it is people who turn simple training into real change.
We also learned that success does not depend on the size of a startup, but on its ability to listen, iterate, and collaborate. We saw projects that started with a prototype made in an afternoon and ended up becoming solid companies thanks to their resilience. And we saw how other ideas, even brilliant ones, only grew when they were surrounded by the right community.
Over the years, we understood that spaces matter, but people matter more. Campus offered us a privileged environment, but it was the entrepreneurs and partners who filled that environment with purpose and energy. What made Campus special was not the building, but what happened inside it.
And perhaps the greatest lesson of all: entrepreneurship is a collective journey; no one should travel it alone. Every pitch that was prepared, every piece of mentoring that was given, every question that someone answered in a hallway, demonstrated that entrepreneurship flourishes when there is mutual support.
We also understood something deeper: that when you find the right partner, a program ceases to be a simple course and becomes a movement. And that was precisely what happened with Google for Startups Campus Madrid, which supported us in all our entrepreneurship programs.
Thank you, Google for Startups Campus Madrid

This chapter could not be written without acknowledging the role of Google for Startups Campus Madrid. Their support over the past decade has not only provided us with a physical space, but also a home for innovation. They have given us tools, visibility, opportunities, and a platform from which thousands of entrepreneurs have been able to grow.
But above all, they accompanied us with constant professionalism. That magic that makes events run smoothly without technical problems, that makes the community feel cared for from the moment they walk through the door, that ensures ideas always find a place to take shape. Their team was an essential part of every program, every workshop, and every pitch we experienced there.
Thank you for amplifying our initiatives on your channels, for making room for our startups in your programs, and for making each edition better than the last.
His commitment has left a deep impression. And we were extremely fortunate to experience this story from the first day... to the last.

The physical space is closing, but our mission continues
Campus Madrid will close its doors at the end of 2025. But Tetuan Valley's journey continues.
Tetuan Valley continues with the same energy, the same community, and the same mission. We are preparing a new space, where we will continue to promote talent, create connections, and support people who want to become entrepreneurs.
The community does not remain in a building. The community moves with us.
Looking ahead: What's coming in 2026
2026 will be a year of expansion, new programs, and collaborations that we are already building. Our goal is clear: to continue strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem, from training to open innovation, while keeping our essence intact.
We are closing one chapter, yes. But we are opening another with the same conviction that brought us here.
Because if we have learned anything in the last ten years, it is this:
Spaces change. The mission remains. And Tetuan Valley will always be where there are entrepreneurs eager to create.
Tetuan Valley celebrates ten years of learning, community, and innovation at Google for Startups Campus Madrid. A decade of building programs, supporting entrepreneurs, and growing alongside a partner that has been key to the ecosystem. We look to the future with gratitude for everything we have experienced and with the same energy to continue promoting talent from our next space.
